EKITI (meaning hill country - 300 metres above sea level) is situated north of Yoruba land, which is in the south-west of Nigeria. It is bounded by Osun State (Osogbo Diocese) in the west, Kwara State (Ilorin Diocese) in the north, Kogi State (Lokoja Diocese) in the north-east, and Ondo State (Ondo Diocese) in the south-east.
